Bynum (Bynum)
Bynum is a former census-designated place in Calhoun County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 1,863. The area is now part of the city of Oxford and is included in the Anniston–Oxford, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Bynum is located in the westernmost part of the city of Oxford at 33°36'21.546" North, 85°57'47.909" West (33.605985, -85.963308). It is bordered to the north by the Anniston Army Depot.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the community had a total area of 3.3 sqmi, all land, prior to being annexed by Oxford.

Indigenous peoples have inhabited the Americas for thousands of years.
